How Guardians Fill Out an Application for a New Student using Skyward Qmlativ SIS

Video Handouts Detailed Instructions

New Student Enrollment (NSE) applies to a student who has never attended LISD or a student who has not been enrolled during the current school year.  If this student was previously enrolled in the district this school year, please contact the campus to enroll the student. When enrolling a new student to Lewisville ISD, you can visit https://www.lisd.net/enroll to access the information you need to fill out to begin the enrollment. 

Note

Only the Primary Guardian of a student should fill out this enrollment form. Please review the required documentation needed to register a student in LISD on the https://www.lisd.net/enroll website.

When enrolling a new student to Lewisville ISD, you can visit LISD’s enrollment website to access the information you need to begin the enrollment process.

If you have never had a child enrolled in LISD please select the New Family button to view all enrollment information you will need. Then, click the Create an Account link to submit a New Guardian Login Request. The account access information will be emailed to you at the email address you provided.

If you are enrolling a new student of a sibling already attending LISD schools, please select the Current family adding a new student button to view all enrollment information you will need. Then, click the Login link to sign in with your existing username and password.

Once logged in, verify you are in the New Student Enrollment portal. Current LISD families may need to click the drop-down icon next to the home icon to access this portal.

Click the green Current or Future Year Student Enrollment Form tile to start your new enrollment form, depending on when you choose to enroll during the school year.

Carefully read all instructions included on the initial screen, and then click Start.

Enter the Birth Date of the student you are enrolling. The system will then populate the new student's age, and allow you to select the Grade and School to enroll in. Then click Save.

Work through each step of the enrollment form. Depending on your student's grade level, you may have more or fewer steps. There are required steps that must be completed by law for enrollment, and then there are optional steps that you choose to skip or fill out. 

Click Complete & Next once you are finished entering information and move to the next step. A checkmark displays next to completed steps in the left-hand menu.

At the top of the final required step, click Complete & Review. You will be taken to the Review screen to review the information you entered for each step.

Scroll to the very bottom and check the box to confirm all the above information is correct. Then, click Submit Form near the top of the screen.

You see a screen thanking you for submitting the form. You can then click Return to Dashboard beneath the message to return to the home screen.

The dashboard should display an additional tile with a Pending Approval banner that indicates when your enrollment form was submitted. 

You will need to repeat this process and complete an enrollment form for each new student you need to enroll.

New Families to Lewisville ISD

New Guardian Login Request

  1. Navigate to Lewisville ISD's New Enrollment website.
  2. Click the New Family button.
  1. The unique LISD form to request a Skyward account to be created will display.
  1. Complete the required fields for Guardian Information.
    • Please note that the email you select will be the one that your new account information will be sent to. Ensure that this account is active and you have access to it. 
  1. Complete the appropriate fields for Address.
  1. Check the reCAPTCHA prompt box for verification, and click Submit.
  1. If everything submits correctly, a message screen will display, prompting you to access the email account you used. Further instructions on completing your new Skyward account will be sent there. 
  1. Follow the directions in the email from Skyward regarding your new username and a link to set up a password.
  2. Log in to the system using your new username and password. You will automatically be granted access to the New Student Enrollment portal. Once your student is approved through the enrollment process, you will be granted access to Family Access portal as well. 

 

You can now follow the steps below for filling out the New Student Enrollment Form. Please refer back to https://www.lisd.net/enroll/new-family for important information about transfers and the required documents to register.

The following steps will be completed in Skyward Qmlativ SIS. If you have access to more than one portal, you may need to click the down arrow next to the home icon and select New Student Enrollment from the drop-down menu. 

You will need to complete the following steps for each student you need to enroll. If you want the application to be translated, you must choose that option from the browser or device that you are using.

  1. Click the green CURRENT YEAR STUDENT ENROLLMENT or FUTURE YEAR STUDENT ENROLLMENT FORM tile to start your new enrollment form, depending on when you choose to enroll during the school year.
  2. Carefully read all instructions included on the initial screen, and then click Start.
  3. Enter the Birth Date of the student you are enrolling. The system will then populate the new students Age, and allow you to select the Grade and School to enroll in. Then select Save.
  1. Work through each step of the enrollment form. Depending on your student's grade level, you may have more or fewer steps. There are required steps that must be completed by law for enrollment, and then there are optional steps that you choose to skip or fill out. 
    • Click Complete & Next once you are finished entering information and move to the next step.
    • Click Previous if you wish to return to a previous step.
    • Click Save & Exit to save the changes you have made to return at a later time to continue.
    • A checkmark confirm icon displays in each step you complete. You must successfully complete each step in order to submit the online form.
  1. Click Complete & Review at the top of the final required step, and you will be taken to the Review screen.
  1. Review the information you entered for each step.
  2. Scroll to the very bottom and check the box to confirm all the above information is correct. Checking this box is required in order to submit the online form.
  3. Click Submit Form near the top of the screen.
    • You see a screen thanking you for submitting the form. You can then click Return to Dashboard beneath the message to return to the home screen.

You have successfully completed new student enrollment for your student!

The image below displays examples of online forms in New Student Enrollment with the statuses of Available, In Progress, Pending Approval and Denied. Depending on where you are in the enrollment process or how many students you are enrolling, you may have multiple submissions and statuses. 

 

 
 

Current Families in Lewisville ISD

Getting Started 

  1. Navigate to Lewisville ISD's New Enrollment website.
  2. Click the Current family adding a new student button.
  1. Log into Skyward Qmlativ SIS using your guardian username and password.

    Note

    If you cannot remember your  username or password, you can select the Forgot your Username or Password? link for a reset to be sent to your guardian email. 

     
  1. Make sure you are in the New Student Enrollment portal to access the form. The system will log you in the last portal you accessed, so you may have to use the drop-down to switch to the right area.

 

You can now follow the steps below for filling out the New Student Enrollment Form. Please refer back to https://www.lisd.net/enroll/returning-student-yearorless with important information about Transfers and the Required documents to register.
